We have an exciting and unique opportunity to work with an award winning food processing company based in Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead the Maintenance team in delivering a high quality service to production.

Location: Antrim/Down

Salary: £40000


  • Managing shift manpower to achieve the day to day maintenance tasks to deliver equipment availability, product quality requirements, carrying out root cause investigations and counter measures
  • Planning, scheduling and carrying out running checks and repairs as well as driving the planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programme
  • Implementing the company and departmental processes and procedures including safety, 5S methodology, time, attendance and discipline at shift level will be a part of your daily duties
  • Planning as well as coordinating shutdown and project work with your team and higher management by delivering cost, quality and timing targets
  • Liaising with Quality, Project, Purchasing, and Safety teams to reach full technical and commercial alignment
  • Run a team responding to any breakdown failure and the planned preventative maintenance to all the facilities equipment
  • Working cross functionally to ensure that the engineering team maximises availability of assets
  • Liaise with production teams to understand their priorities and manage plant availability
  • Ensure all critical plant is maintained correctly
  • Manage, update and improve the PPM schedule
  • Organise shift engineering teams & sub-contractors
  • Coach mentor and develop team with a view to becoming self-sufficient
  • Health & Safety, risk assessment, permits etc.
  • Technical back up for the team
  • Carry out root cause corrective action
  • Identify and escalate issues effectively to ensure efficient resolution
  • Use of performance management systems to drive maximum efficiency


  • Have fully completed an Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical discipline
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • At least 3 years experience in a Maintenance Management role
  • Proficient in the use of databases and Microsoft office suites
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regs
  • Be able to demonstrate good people skills
  • Good written and spoken English
