Factory Operations Manager (Food Processing) Ref DMG341
Our client is a leading Food Production Company, with a significant footprint in Ireland and internationally. With a strong branded range of consumer products as well as a client base of leading food companies, our client is now looking for a strong Food Production Operations Manager to manage one of their key sites in the North East.
Location: Armagh, Cavan, Monaghan
The Role
- Be responsible for driving all site efficiencies through the implementation of Continuous Improvement strategies across the site
- Lead the site management team to ensure all targets across production, quality and margin are met
- Be responsible for all aspects of the site, interacting with key internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure strong positive leadership across the site, ensuring a positive work environment and a continuous culture of efficiency and continuous improvement
- Manage interaction with key external clients on site visits and audits as well as working with internal commercial teams to win new business
The Person
- 3rd Level Qualification in Food Science, Production Management or similar
- 5 years plus management experience within a food production site
- Proven track record of managing people and achieving targets within a Food Production facility
- Experience in process improvement, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement is essential for this role
- Strong understanding of Financial management, costs etc. required
- Strong commercial knowledge, with experience interacting with customers is preferred for this role
