European Account Manager

Our client is one of Irelands leading food suppliers to leading European retailers from its base in Ireland to customers in European markets including UK, France, Spain, Italy, Holland & Germany.

As part of an ambitious plan to continue its European Growth, the Company wishes to recruit a European Account Manager.

The successful candidate will benefit from an attractive and competitive salary package commensurate with experience.

Location: Longford, Meath, Cavan

Key Responsibilities:

The appointee will report to the General Manager, and the role will include:

  • Achieving business objectives, sales targets & delivering growth with Key European Retail Accounts
  • Developing & implementing effective customer strategies for key accounts
  • Leading and developing relationships with key accounts based on shared business goals and shared ownership of the strategies to achieve them
  • Prioritising areas for additional sales growth
  • Ongoing scanning of market territory and assisting in market facing NPD projects

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Key Account management and ideally in the fresh or chilled food sectors
  • Fluency in European Language and English, (with strong oral, written and presentation skills) a distinct advantage
  • Strong communication and analytical skills combined with strong negotiation and profitability management skills
  • Capacity to work effectively with others, demonstrating an open mind and commitment to achieve group objectives
  • Business acumen coupled with acute market awareness, including awareness of trends in international fresh food markets
  • Ability to translate market awareness into specific actions to deliver new products and rapid growth in sales and profitability
  • Have the ability to execute plans and specific actions smoothly and effectively
  • A proven track record in developing new business and sales growth
  • A proven ability to develop and build long-lasting relationships
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office, CRM) and possess a full clean driving license
  • Ability to travel regularly to Europe
