Supply Chain Specialist

Job Purpose

This role will be within the Supply Chain function will focus on leading team to deliver in business objectives. You will also be responsible for the mid-short-term replenishment cycles in assigned categories. Also building and maintaining strong relationships with both customer supply chain contacts and the wider organisation and gathering insight into business strategies, goals, processes and capabilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide a thorough understanding of customer priorities and identify key improvement areas
  • Ownership of continuous improvements with business partners to implement changes and develop actions to deliver targets
  • Deliver optimum On Shelf Availability through interactions with customer systems
  • Support all business partners, with relevant intelligence and knowledge
  • Analyse the demand forecast to capture significant trends and changes
  • Action pre, live and post promo reviews
  • Run daily and weekly reports to identify issues
  • Develop robust relationship with customer supply chain controllers and mid-tier management.
  • Resolve major inconsistencies to customer ordering patterns
  • Drive sales through insights
  • Identify all customer service issues and create action plan
  • Seamless transition and execution of allocations, range changes, NPD launches etc
  • Reduce supply chain waste through effective product life cycle management to launch and exit skus.
  • Leadership, development and performance management of direct reports.
  • Develop and leverage key contact relationships.
  • Work closely with the Customer Supply Chain managers to prepare for all internal and external customer review meetings and escalate internal supply chain risks.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Experience in a customer focused role including scorecard-based measurements
  • Minimum third level qualification in Data Analytics or similar related field.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive outlook
  • Proactive mind-set
  • Quantitative analytical skillset
  • Problem solver / logical reasoning aptitude
  • Strong I.T. Skills - Advanced excel essential
  • Working knowledge of SAP – volume forecast tools.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective time management and planning
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
