NPD Technologist

Quorum Search Partners is now working on a fantastic new NPD Technologist role with an award-winning Irish food business based in Naas,

This is a great opportunity to grow and develop in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the NPD Manager to deliver the agreed targets set by the business.

The salary on offer is extremely competitive and the role offers excellent opportunities for internal progression.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise and deliver on new project concepts to agreed timescale.
• Create customer specifications, make improvements to existing products and assist in the creation of new products.
• Develop recipes to agreed costs and timelines specified.
• Keep up to date on trends within fresh food categories.
• Work cross-functionally with technical, customer, finance, sales & commercial teams.
• Completion and compilation of all information required by BRC, such as shelf life validations & cooking instruction justifications.
• Liaise with the purchasing department on packaging innovations and developments, with the aim of marketing our products in the best possible manner.
• Develop and manage relationships with suppliers.

Requirements:

• Food Science degree or related discipline required.
• Minimum of 2 years' NPD experience.
• An understanding of nutrition and ingredients would be beneficial.
• Creative & innovative thinking to problem solving.
• Ability to prioritise workload, whilst paying attention to detail and achieving deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for all things food and ingredients related.
