Excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS Manager to join a successful food business, in their new, state of the art production facility in the Midlands.

This is a full time, permanent role with a fantastic salary & package on offer.

Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

Role

• To provide an effective Environmental and generalist Health and Safety function site-wide supporting, advising and leading on environmental, health and safety change initiatives
• To align the EHS Agenda to the business goals & objectives
• Regularly review and update the Environment, Health and Safety Plan in conjunction with the General Manager
• Liaise with local Regulatory and Statutory Bodies
• Chair the Site’s EH&S Committee Meetings
• Advise, monitor, evaluate and develop EH&S policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain the Environmental Policy
• Maintain site environmental operating licence and ISO 14001 accreditation
• Develop and implement an effective energy monitoring programme
• Leadership in waste management and site water services
• Develop, implement and maintain an effective internal environmental auditing programme
• Establish and maintain an effective Health and Safety Management System for the plant to achieve ISO 45001 standards
• Develop, monitor and evaluate appropriate health and safety management audits for the site in liaison with the Site Team

Requirements

• Qualification in Environmental Health & Safety/CMIOSH
• 5+ years experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment
• Excellent knowledge of Irish & EU EH&S Legislation
• Leadership & communication skills
