National Account Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Account Manager to join a award-winning Food Business in Kildare, a producer of one of Ireland’s most iconic brands.

This market-leading food business supplies high-quality, great-tasting products to Key Retailers and Food Service businesses. The ideal candidate will come from a similar background, have a genuine passion for food and be enthusiastic and driven.

You will be responsible for proactively managing national accounts to achieve sales, volume, profitability and retailer category growth through optimisation of current listings and new product development.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Managing, establishing and delivering the annual sales plan for your respective accounts
  • Ensuring the delivery of sales targets and execution of strategic plans
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth and represent your retailer’s voice with internal stakeholders
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of your customer requirements and shopper, category and market insights to develop new business opportunities
  • Working closely with the NPD team to develop the correct range & formats to deliver growth for your respective customers across all categories
  • Tracking and reporting on strategic grocery initiatives to the SLT team against agreed milestones

Skills and experience required:

  • A strong commercial background in FMCG is essential
  • Experience at a branded or own label Food Manufacturer
  • Managing relationships with national retailers
  • Strong data analytics capabilities
  • Ability to actively identify business opportunities
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and be comfortable leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of New Product Development and Product substitution concepts
  • Proven ability to collaborate with strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Full, clean driving license essential
