Sales Executive UK&I

One of Europe’s fastest-growing food businesses is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join their team in Kildare. My client has recently invested €30 million in expanding its world-class facility, the business is expected to double in the next 3 years.

The successful candidate will deliver exemplary customer service to key Retail and Food Service Customers. They will collaborate closely with Finance, New Product Development and Operations teams and deliver reporting on sales status, sales opportunities, potential competitors and market insights.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual who would like to work in a dynamic and innovative growing environment, with an ambition to become an Account Manager or Trade Marketing Manager. This role is based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare and will involve regular travel to the business’ Midlands production site, plus travel to the UK as required.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Main point of contact for the National Account Managers, Field Sales Manager and Commercial Director in Ireland and the UK
  • Responsible for all customer reporting, including preparation and completion of weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Ownership of agreed promotional plans and price files within the business
  • Understanding & interpreting epos data and identifying trends, opportunities and potential issues
  • Controlling New Product introduction, working with relevant third parties to ensure successful launch of products
  • Collaborating with National Account Managers to ensure the effective activation of trade plans
  • Coordinating department queries; ensuring all customer requirements are communicated to the relevant personnel and department team members
  • Planning, preparing and attending relevant Commercial meetings
  • Liaising closely with Category, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure alignment

Skills, education and experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a FMCG environment, with the ambition to progress within the business
  • Third level qualification in Business/Commerce a distinct advantage
  • Commercial and sales oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage own time effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience using data platforms such as IRI, Nielsen & Dunnhumby is an advantage
  • Full clean driver’s license and own car essential, this role will involve travel
