Quality Supervisor

Our client, an established and innovative food business based in Kildare, has an immediate requirement for a Quality Supervisor that will sit within the Technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly expanding organisation that prides themselves on their quality and innovation.

This role will be responsible for implementing the food safety standards on-site, leading, managing, and developing the quality team and continuously driving process and hygiene improvements, reducing complaints and improving audit scores at all times.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the Quality officers on site.
• Drive quality in all areas in terms of food safety and product quality resulting in the reduction of customer complaints and quality issues.
• Investigate and closeout complaints and quality issues. 
• Communicate complaints and issues back to staff members and monitor closely to ensure the issue does not arise again.
• Provide technical support in the identification of non-compliance/deviations from the quality system and implement corrective actions and procedures to prevent reoccurrence.
• Participate in all quality audits and lead all audits in the absence of the Quality Manager.
• Assist in the successful launch of all new products.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations, trace, and mass balance exercises closing out all issues identified.
• Coach and train staff on the production floor.
• Work with the operations team to build-in quality into the production processes.

Requirements:

• 3rd Level Degree in Food Science.
• Diploma in Management/People management experience.
• Knowledge of BRC and HACCP standards.
• Excellent Communicator, strong attention to detail, and the ability to organise and plan effectively.
