Logistics Assistant

My client, a Global Retailer, is seeking several Logistics Assistants to join their newly established Supply Chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in this extremely successful organisation.

This role will involve working collaboratively with Buying, Suppliers, Logistics, and Regional Distribution Centres to optimise Supply Chain efficiencies, including the planning of production and distribution.

Video interviews will commence in the coming weeks after the successful completion of an MS Excel Assessment. The chosen candidate will receive exceptional training in their European Head Office in the coming months. The salary for this role starts at €40,000, with guaranteed increments.


  • Management and control of the inbound supply chain to deliver to agreed timeframes and KPI’s.
  • Management of supplier KPI adherence.
  • Ensuring accuracy and maintenance of sales forecast data being delivered to the supply base.
  • Maintaining supplier availability throughout the year with a particular focus on Christmas and other key events.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management at all levels of business.
  • Continuous improvement within the role; simplifying processes and operations to maximize efficiencies.
  • Supporting the delivery of the department strategy as required.
  • Assisting Buying teams by monitoring supplier performance through inbound stock management and reporting.

Experience & skills:

  • 2+ years' experience within a similar Logistics role within the Food/FMCG/Retail industry.
  • A full, clean driver's license is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential, SAP is a bonus.
  • Skilled in relationship building, problem-solving, and change management.
  • A confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive, and work on own initiative both independently and as a team.
  • Ability to investigate, analyze and challenge appropriately.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines, and multiple projects simultaneously.

Please note: due to travel restrictions and time restraints, candidates currently located outside of Ireland will not be considered for this role.
