Foodservice Sales Manager

A new opportunity has arisen for a Foodservice Sales Manager to join a leading food company who supply foodservice & retailers in over 100 countries in the EU, Asia & America. This is a well established company that continues to grow. This role will report to the Country Manager.

This role will be based in Dublin.

Full-time, permanent position.

Salary: €50-55k + 10 % bonus + company car + private healthcare.


  • Responsible for maintaining and developing business in the Foodservice sector within NI/ROI
  • Key contact for any information required by the customer
  • Price negotiation
  • Development of promotional activity
  • Build the business by developing existing product lines and introducing new listings
  • Open profitable prospect accounts
  • Develop the brand in NI/ROI
  • Responsible for achieving budgeted sales and margin targets, forecasting sales
  • Manage all cost budgets within the agreed levels whilst achieving and exceeding profit and volume targets
  • Utilise the sales price model to achieve agreed profitable, strategic business for the Group
  • Carry out effective price negotiations with all customers
  • Costing of specific products for all accounts
  • Communicate regularly with all internal departments to manage existing business and new development
  • Complete business plans for all accounts
  • Follow the procedure for New Product Development and participate in reviewing the ISO procedure and in maintaining appropriate records
  • Attend relevant training courses e.g. Company Induction, Health and Safety, Manual handling and Food Safety training
  • Follow the Company’s hygiene and good manufacturing practices at all times


  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role within foodservice
  • Sales / National Account / Key Account experience
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills
  • Analytical and able to interpret all data and information
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail)
  • Innovative with the ability to come up with original and creative ideas to solve problems which meet the needs of the client and sector
  • Strong sales techniques
  • Thorough in-depth knowledge of client, market and sector trends.
