Site Quality Lead - Leading Food Manufacturer

We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Quality Lead to join a Leading Food Manufacturer, based in Co. Cork.

The Site Quality Lead will be responsible for driving and maintaining best practice standards for the production of top-quality products which are distributed across Europe. They will lead the activities of the site quality team to meet customer requirements and drive process improvements while ensuring regulatory and customer compliance. The Site Quality Lead is also responsible for building a culture of quality, food safety and hygiene across the site and ensuring that products manufactured meet specification and customer expectations.

Full-time, permanent position. 

Monday - Friday, day shift 


  • Owner of the quality management and Food Safety System
  • Quality voice for product development and innovation (Stage Gate & Spec review)
  • Lead Customer Audits/Visits and ensure all corrective actions are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Manage all aspects of product grading and release
  • Develop and manage relationships with key strategic customers and partners
  • Communicate quality performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis at the relevant forums to ensure targets are met and corrective/preventative actions are carried out
  • Measure and close out technical issues, NC’s, CAPAs, Supplier issues, Hygiene, Documentation etc
  • Maintain certification – BRC, FFSC 22000, HALAL and Kosher and any other relevant accreditation's, certifications & liaise with DAFM on site quality issues
  • Manage and continuously improve the entire Quality Program for the site including sampling plans, procedures, and specification input
  • Develop and instil Food Safety behaviours across the site
  • Coach, develop, train and up skill employees to enhance knowledge and understanding
  • Optimise and implement Product and Environmental Plans to ensure the Site exceeds all Right First-Time targets for all products


  • 3+ years’ experience in Quality Management in the Food Industry
  • 3rd Level qualification in relevant discipline
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, reporting and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through teamwork, motivation and employee engagement
  • Excellent technical competence with the capacity to effectively analyse issues and problem solve
  • A positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude
  • Thorough knowledge of the requirements of the best practice Food Safety Standards
