Key Accounts Executive - Fresh Food (Excellent Career Progression)

This company is a dynamic and developing business that is involved in food production.

You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. You will be the primary commercial contact for designated customer accounts. The company is located in Dublin West.

This role requires an enthusiastic, results orientated and organised person who has a passion for food.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with relevant buyers
  • Establish, maintain and develop customer relationships.
  • Deliver annual joint business plans.
  • Forecast internal sales budgets and monitor performance against budget on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Achieve KPI targets for business.
  • Aware of the domestic and UK market, knowledge of market and customer trends.
  • Maintain a robust database of internal information.
  • Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to ensure customer service & sales goals are met.
  • Work closely with the NPD department, developing products with good commercial potential.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Skills and Attributes
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious and self-motivated.
  • Results orientated
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on deadlines.
  • Organised and professional.
  • An interest in food or an appreciation of contemporary food trends is desirable.


  • Ideally 3 years’ experience in a similar role in FMCG with head office exposure.
  • Strong commercial awareness and market knowledge
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with ability to make commercial recommendations based on data.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office. with an understanding of social media and marketing practices
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to research, identify new business leads and convert to solid business.
