Night Shift Production Manager - Excellent Monthly & Yearly Bonus!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Production Manager to join a Leading Food Producer, based in Cork.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for the production performance as measured by core metrics of safety, quality, cost, line efficiency & people management.

Full time, permanent position.

Competitive salary with a monthly and yearly KPI bonus!

Annual leave 20 days rising to 21 days after 5 years and increasing 1 day a year thereafter to a maximum of 25 days.


4 day / 3 days a week, 12 hr shifts, 4 week cycle -

Example -

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 4: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday


  • Implement the production plan on the floor.
  • Manage 2 supervisors - 1 to 1's, performance development, absence, pay review.
  • Manage daily 5S, H&S, Quality and Food Safety compliance.
  • Manage weekly staffing rota and daily labour allocations.
  • Ensure shift start-ups and hand overs (RTG) are effective.
  • Use IT system to communicate and monitor production.
  • Lead daily pulse meetings and ensure Line Sups huddles are effective.
  • Ensure procedures & management routines are implemented.
  • Implement Employee Handbook & Company Values.
  • Identify and resolve employee issues in a timely manner and uphold the principles of respect and dignity at work.
  • Manage the absence and pay review process for production operators.
  • Participate in HR Investigations and Disciplinary hearings as required.
  • Line responsibility as assigned.


  • Previous work experience at supervisory/management level in a FMCG and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands on experience in production in a food processing company would be a distinct advantage.
  • Good people management/supervisory experience.
  • Experience of HACCP/BRC.
  • Business, Financial, Commercial acumen.
  • Results driven with a proven ability to deliver targets and meet deadlines.
  • Decisive, displays sound judgement whilst thinking laterally and innovatively.
  • Learning agility and a continuous improvement orientation.
