Vendor and Specifications Coordinator

My client, a leading Irish food producer, is seeking a Vendor and Specifications Coordinator to join their established team in Kildare.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of a fantastic team and play an active role in maintaining & managing the raw material, dry Ingredient and packaging Vendor Management system.

 

The role will be responsible for ensuring the company is in line with EU Food Legislation and Customer & Retailer requirements.

 

Excellent salary and benefits including pension & health care contributions

Hours of work: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

Potential to work 1 day from home once probation is passed

 

Responsibilities:

• Supplier approval & maintenance of the Vendor Databases
• Generation & management of raw material specifications
• Management of the bespoke Vendor portal on Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Responsible for Management of the Retailer & Customer codes of practice and final product specifications
• Hosting Supplier approval sections during Customer Audits
• Dealing with customer technical queries and closing same out
• Generating customer Specifications and directly liaising with customers
• Ensuring specification & labelling information is accurate and complies with food labelling legislation

 

Requirements:

• BSc Food Science & Technology
• Proven track record in a similar role in a high-risk food environment
• BRC V8 and HACCP level 5
• Experience with large retailers Codes of practice & specification systems i.e. (Foods Connected, Quadex, MCreate, M&S, Tesco Portal & large food manufacturing bespoke specification portals & systems.)
• Ability to work cross functionally with other departments on a daily basis
• Customer Focus – focus on producing quality specifications meeting customer needs at all times
• Excellent informing skills, transferring information and knowledge regarding new legislation and compliance needs
• Work Integrity, supporting quality well written specifications
• Technical learning ability, taking on board new requirements and translating them into practical requirements for the business
• Excellent written report writing skills & IT skills
