A highly innovative and creative award winning business in Kildare is urgently seeking a Culinary Innovation Chef. Ideally looking for a Culinary Arts or similarly qualified candidate with some experience as a Development chef within food manufacturing.

 

Full time, permanent role

Negotiable salary depending on experience

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of new concepts for all products categories within the company’s portfolio.
• Responsible for the development of new concepts for all products categories within the company’s portfolio.
• Involved in the development of new products working from customer briefs to blue skies concepts & also the improvement of existing product recipes.
• Mentoring of Junior Team members of the team.
• Preparing customer sample requests in a timely manner.
• Deliver product presentations, samples & new product concepts to the business.
• Co-ordination of benchmarking of competitor products.
• Attendance at internal meetings & sensory panels as required.
• Monitor product launches in conjunction with the Innovation team to ensure delivery of the approved new product.
• Document all work accurately according to established SOP’s & guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of market, market insights, consumer and competitor activity.
• Assist in managing the Culinary Kitchen to a safe working environment meeting GMP standard.
• To understand HACCP & Food legislative requirements.

Key Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

• Culinary Arts qualification.
• +1 years’ experience in the manufacturing food industry, a passion for food.
• A passion for food with up-to-date trend knowledge on all areas of food innovation.
• Microsoft office proficient.
