Quality, Health, Safety, & Environmental (QHSE) Officer
This person will provide administrative support to the QHSE Manager to ensure requirements are implemented and meet regulatory compliance as well as driving QHSE improvements.
Main responsibilities:
- Gathering, Inputting, analysing, and presenting QHSE related data
- Maintenance of the QHSE Safety Management databases and Document Control System
- Compile monthly and quarterly reports for QHSE Manager, Senior Management Team and relevant departments
- Supporting the QHSE Manager to ensure Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions, and risk assessments are documented and reviewed and communicated to workplaces
- Undertake administration of QHSE related incidents/accidents/events as part of the Safety Management System and logging details of same
- Support the development and implantation of the QHSE Audit /Inspection Schedule and ensure corrective actions/opportunities for improvement are logged and action in line with designated timeframe. Assist with auditing in related departments and operations
- Assist in the development of reporting dashboards to ensure effective communication of QHSE performance across the business
- As directed by QHSE Manager attend sister sites to assist with completion of QHSE related admin functions as required
Requirements:
- Have worked in a similar role and hold a minimum of five year’ experience in a QHSE or similar work environment
- Hold a recognized QHSE qualification as a minimum NEBOSH Diploma is preferred
- Must be familiar with and have a proven track record in QHSE data gathering, logging, analysing, identifying trends and presentation of same
- Be able to present data and information and deliver presentations to all levels of Management
- Have excellent IT skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft based packages
- Hold excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work on own initiative as required and work as part of the QHSE Team to promote QHSE information sharing within an open and trusting culture
- Hold a full clean driving license (that is recognized in Ireland) and be willing to travel to work locations throughout Ireland
- Experience of working to ISO standard requirements relating to Quality, Health and Safety and Environment and their implementation as part of Integrated Management systems
- Experience of auditing techniques and undertaking audits in relation to QHSE requirements
