Process Improvement Coordinator - Food Industry

Our client, a Leading Food Producer, based in Cork (close to Bandon) is seeking a Process Improvement Coordinator to join the team!

This position will support the implementation, training, and auditing of work procedures in the Stores and Operations areas to increase productivity, minimise issues and reduce operational costs.

Reporting to the Stock Processing Manager and working closely with production and stores. Full Training will be provided.

Full-time, permanent position.

Monday - Friday 9am to 5.30pm.

Salary is negotiable DOE.

Pension contribution scheme of 5% after 6 months of service.


  • Provide training and support to Stores and Operations operators on existing procedures to minimize issues.
  • Coordinate Operator training on SOP’s to include Stock Trace and Process Improvement.
  • Develop operator skills matrix and competency assessments to address skills gaps in Stores and OPs.
  • Support the development and introduction of new processes including system design, development validation and procedure write up and SOP development.
  • Provide training and initial supervision and operator support in Stores and Ops during the implementation and bedding in period of new processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Support Ops on New and Existing line training.
  • Work with external stakeholders in IT to develop and implement systems to support existing and new work procedures.
  • Provide cover for the team as required.
  • Improvement in existing KPI’s.
  • Compliance with SOP’s.


  • 3rd level qualification in Supply Chain or similar.
  • Previous experience in the food industry is an advantage.
  • Communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Impart information in a way that is easily understood.
  • Good Business Acumen/ Understanding.
  • Lean or Six Sigma understanding is desirable but not essential.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn.
