Our client, a leading and innovative food company in is seeking a Group Technical Manager to join their team. They supply high end finished product into key retailers in the UK. 

Full time permanent role with a negotiable salary & benefits

The Group Technical Manager will oversee the Technical, Quality & Hygiene Department, the people within, with responsibility for site food safety and quality, relevant systems policies, procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the site’s technical, quality and hygiene systems meet compliance with all legislative and industry guidelines 
• Managing key interactions with customers and outside agencies / suppliers 
• Auditing equipment on site 
• Train, motivate, supervise the team to reach full potential 
• Implement, develop, maintain and improve a GMP audit system
• Conducting risk assessments, process flows where applicable
• Taking a leading role in the scheduling of successful 3rd party audits
• Ensure Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP and VACCP on site.
• Produce statistical reports relating to departmental standards and KPIs

Experience:

• Relevant food safety related qualification
• Experience at Senior Management level
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable, however, training and support will be available
• Good oral and written communication skills
