Continuous Improvement Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity with our client, a leading FMCG company, who is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join their team based in Kildare.

 

Reporting to the CEO, this management role will be responsible for the development, implementation, coordination and reporting of sustainable, continuous improvement policies and procedures across all areas of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Support implementation of process & product improvements in all areas of the business
• Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield control and process up-time
• Support operation enablers utilising Lean Sigma initiatives
• Support process improvement capability and production volume while maintaining & improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers and improving quality standards
• Support the business investment strategy with research of latest equipment and systems technology
• Facilitate the organization on the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies
• Report on process performance, plans to optimize the process and project management
• Responsible for maintaining project budgetary control
• Establish and Report on Key Performance Metrics

 

Requirements:

• Certification or work experience in Lean/Six Sigma is preferable but not necessary
• Higher level qualification is desirable in one of the following areas, engineering, manufacturing, or food related discipline
• Project Management experience is desirable
• Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Projects)
• Possess basic engineering understanding desirable
• Understand yields, efficiency measurement and capacity measurements 
• Demonstrate hands on ability to implement Lean Manufacturing principles
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving ability for mechanical and process type problems, with a demonstrated ability to get to root cause
