Electrical Maintenance Technician

My client, an award winning fresh produce provider, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Their state of the art facility is located in Meath, within a commutable distance from North Dublin, Louth, Carrickmacross, Bailieborough and surrounding areas.

 

Working as part of the Maintenance Team the successful candidate will be responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding and installation of various types of equipment.

Shifts: 

6am-3pm, 7am-4pm & 8.30am-5.30pm, Monday - Friday. 

1 week out of every 4/5: 2.30pm-11pm, including a Saturday. 

 

Excellent Hourly Rate & Shift Allowance with Overtime.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct wiring, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment
• Ability to work on own initiative and to work from schematics and blueprints
• Adhere to health and safety standards including regulatory requirements when conducting duties
• As part of the Maintenance team, work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
• Perform electro-mechanical troubleshooting of processing & packaging equipment
• Responsible for high-speed repairs of equipment
• Maintain a high-level performance across the production team and take appropriate action where faults occur
• Cooperate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job- related competencies
• Responsible for completion of your planned work, parts booked out of stores and control of breakdowns
• Observing all onsite and legislative rules and regulations regarding Food Safety and Health & Safety
• Candidates should be flexible regarding working hours. The role will require call out on a rotational basis

 

Qualifications / Experience:

• Possess relevant Electrical Trade Qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Commercial and industrial experience is essential
• Mechanical experience would be advantage
• Attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
• Display time and project management skills
• Problem-solving skills
