Buying Assistant - Grocery Retailer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Buying Assistant (Hybrid working) to join a Grocery Retailer based in Kildare.

Package Details:

Excellent salary
Hybrid working
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Working hours - 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Pension and health cover
Will start off as an 11 month contract with view to permanency

Responsibilities:

Participate in competitor shopping and analysis with the other members of the Buying Team
Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information in regards to products under their responsibility
Act as the main point of contact with suppliers for the products under their responsibility
Liaise with UK colleagues as required for products under their responsibility
Escalate issues to their Buying Director / Manager as required

Requirements:

Experience in a buying department is desirable
A genuine interest in the food and grocery sector
Commercially minded
Impeccable attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication and administration skills
Proficient IT skills, in particular MS Office
Organisational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
Full drivers licence (essential)
Experience working with 3rd party agencies (desirable)
