Our client, a leading and innovative food company is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to join their team in Westmeath.

 

Full time, permanent role with a negotiable salary & benefits

 

Responsibilities:

• Management of the Technical area within the business and participation on the senior management team
• Train, motivate, supervise the team to reach full potential 
• Ensuring product quality is of the highest standard
• Managing Audits
• Manage internal and external specifications database
• Conducting risk assessments, process flows where applicable
• Taking a leading role in the scheduling of successful 3rd party audits
• Ensure Food Safety & HACCP on site
• Ensure that customer complaints and non conformances are effectively closed
• Give sound technical input to the business and play an active role in strategic decision making to ensure the safe production of food to protect consumers
• To assist in the development and sharing of best practices of emerging issues / initiatives 
• Produce statistical reports relating to departmental standards and KPIs

 

Experience:

• Experience in a Prepared Consumer Foods (PCF) environment in Chilled and Frozen
• Relevant food safety related qualification
• Experience at Senior Management level
• Technical/Quality Management experience within the food industry
• Experience leading third party audits such as BRC
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Passion for food and quality.
