Our client an award winning FMCG has an opportunity for a Junior Food Technologist/Product Developer to join their NPD team based in Westmeath.

Full Time, Permanent Role with a negotiable salary

 

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement NPD trials through the stage gated New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
• Carry out new product development, to prepare samples, to carry out plant trials and to assist in their evaluation.
• Agree time scales for completion of trials in line with the critical path set at the start of the process.
• Maintain the New Product Implementation process.
• Conduct research of the market, and change/evolve the product offering to meet consumer trends.
• Work closely with customers in delivering innovative solutions.
• Creation of finished product specifications and pack copies.

 

Experience:

• Third level qualification in Food Science related discipline.
• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Must have a keen interest in food technology. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and other relevant systems.
