We have a fantastic opportunity for a New Product Development Chef to join a leading business to business manufacturer in the food industry.


Hours: Mon. – Fri. 8am – 5pm with some flexibility, some travel required.

Reporting to the Executive Development Chef & Science & Innovation Manager this role will be responsible for leading all culinary based activity for their Innovation teams in the drive for Culinary Innovation and Excellence. Working closely with some of the worlds most loved Food brands, this highly creative role is responsible for delivering innovative delicious concepts to both our customers and internal innovations teams.

This is a high-profile role within the Innovation team, and requires a strong understanding of project management supported internally by a world class stage gate innovation process.



  • Leads projects to support new product launches and continuous improvement projects 
  • Presenting to Customers both in person and from our test center using our new virtual kitchen 
  • Experienced and competent in researching consumer trends, new products, brainstorming new ideas, creating, presenting & cooking new concepts for customers
  • To maintain a high awareness of industry trends in the retail & foodservice sectors, competitor activity, consumer requirements, market insights & the availability of new ingredients
  • Responsible for the continuous development and ownership of the culinary innovation process to agreed performance metrics
  • Manage the Innovation facilities according to GMP standards & Health/Safety guidelines
  • To create, manage and update SOP’s for the Innovation Kitchen and Development Procedures
  • Works closely with S&I Technologists to design, conduct and monitor industrial trials



  • Qualification in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of kitchen or similar related culinary experience, ideally in a similar development role or similar restaurant position
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills with ability to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Willing to travel as required
  • Ability to distinguish colours
  • Ability to taste and distinguish flavours
