Quality Assurance Supervisor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Supervisor to join one of Europe’s fastest growing food companies, based in Co. Longford.
Reporting to the Factory Quality Manager, the successful candidate will work within the Quality Team to ensure the site produces food safe, quality products to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Full-time, permanent position.
Monday-Friday, day shift.
Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- To be a proactive member of the Quality Assurance Team to ensure all products comply with Food safety, quality, regulatory and customer requirements.
- To engage and support the QC Team in monitoring and reporting of online quality and CCP checks.
- To work with Shift Supervisors and their team to ensure that the site is audit ready and operates to established procedures and customer standards for the production and packing of all bakery products.
- To carry out internal audits of the factory (Food Safety and GMP, glass and hard plastic, fabric, hygiene, CCP Validation) and Quality Management System.
- To carry out calibration checks on equipment in the factory and manage the annual calibration schedule for temperature probes, weighing scales, data loggers etc.
- To monitor and verify cleaning processes in the factory including environmental swabs.
- To manage the annual microbiological schedule for product and process including collection of samples, upload to portal, review and trending of results.
- To manage the pest control programme including annual schedule for service technician and field biologist, review and sign off for site visits and trend reporting.
- To carry out routine traceability exercises to schedule and as part of customer and third party accreditation audits for product, raw materials and food contact packaging.
- Complete annual CCP Validation, Allergen cleaning validation.
- Ensuring that all production and quality paperwork is collated, filed correctly and readily available for retrieval during site audits.
- Actively participate and own responsibility for food safety and quality culture projects.
- Implementing corrective actions for any non conformances raised internally or with supply base and establishing root cause and preventative action.
- Supporting the Quality Manager to update procedures and internal audits to meet Third Party (BRC / RSPO) standards or Customer policies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science or similar.
- Previous Quality experience within the food industry (minimum 2 years).
- Knowledge of HACCP, Allergens, BRC and customer standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self starter with ambition.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Accountability for role and responsibilities.
