Engineering Project Manager

We have an exciting Engineering Project Manager opportunity to join a leading multi-site manufacturing organisation based in the South East.

 

The role will entail the management of ongoing capital projects, working closely with a cross-functional team of Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality departments to implement the required changes to enhance, stabilise and improve processes. Projects are both executed in-house and by external contractors.

 

Full-time, permanent position.

Monday-Friday.

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.

 

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Develop scope and system performance targets for tendering to external contractors.
• Review tender submissions and design proposals from external contractors.
• Monitor project expenses in line with the approved project budget.
• Design small scale process changes and implement same.
• Provide technical support to the site production, maintenance and utility teams.
• Ensure the smooth transfer of project knowledge from engineering to production, including ramp-up plans for new processes, transfers or product introductions.
• Ensure all activities, equipment and facilities comply with GMP, Health, Safety, and environmental policies.

 

Requirements: 

• 3rd level qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
• 5+ years experience in project management within a large-scale manufacturing environment, preferably in the Dairy, Food, Beverage, or Healthcare industries.
• Successful track record of project delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication – verbal & written. 
• CAD & MS Project.
