We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager to join a successful food company based in Galway.

 

Full time, permanent role

Negotiable salary depending on experience

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage & implement the food safety quality management system in the plant.
• Ensure the quality team is managed with clear accountabilities and mentoring where needed.
• Manage customer interface for all quality matters.
• Lead and co-ordinate site HACCP/ TACCP team.
• Ensure all required departmental audits are carried out (mass balance, traceability, glass/perspex, recall, authenticity, GMP, Hygiene, Fabrication and QMS audits)
• Completing complaint investigations, identifying root cause, implementing effective corrective actions and closeouts. 
• Ensure there is an effective pest control programme in place with up to date trends.
• Conducting site risk assessments as guided.
• Reviewing and trending site microbiological results, identifying adverse results and co-ordinating effective corrective actions and validations.

 

Requirements:

• Experience working in a similar position in a FMCG environment.
• Diploma or higher in a Food Science related subject.
• Strong knowledge of food legislation, BRC Global Food Standard and specific customer standards and Codes of Practice.
• Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
