Food Science and NPD Technologist

This role would be ideal for anyone with 2-5 years industry experience who wants to be part of a passionate and energetic team.

Full time, permanent position 

Standard working week (Monday-Friday)

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Work within the new product development team, formulating new and existing products.
• Creating laboratory samples of new and existing formulations.
• Work cross functionally with the quality team in the upkeep and development of specifications and relevant documentation.
• Work on the feasibility and implementation of new manufacturing processes within the company. 
• Assist in the development of SOPs and documentation for new and existing processes.
• Work directly with the quality manager and production manager with the factory scale up of new products.
• Involved in implementing improvements to current process systems and the investigation/risk assessment of production issues.
• Maintain an overview of the inventory of raw materials and finished products.
• Work with the new product development and quality team in the overview of compliance across different markets.
• Document all relevant work in a functional and organised manner.

Requirements:

• Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related discipline + 2-5 years’ experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Good Organisational, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
