Fantastic Quality Assurance Lead opportunity, our client is a rapidly expanding Food Company in a new state-of-the-art food facility producing a range of exciting food products for all major retailers. 

 

The new site is commutable from Kildare, Carlow, Wicklow & Kilkenny.

 

They now have a requirement for a Quality Assurance Lead to join their team to assist in maintaining a program of quality assurance activity by ensuring that products manufactured and supplied by the company are safe, and legal and meet or exceed customer expectations.

Working closely with the Technical Manager and the Production Team your responsibilities will include:

 

• Conduct Quality Assurance activities.
• Checking the quality of manufactured products and ensuring package integrity.
• Conduct various internal audits including foreign bodies, GMP audits, glass & hard plastic audits, and report non-conformances.
• Undertake monthly ATP Testing and environmental swabbing quarterly.
• Work in the lab when required sampling products and water supply.
• Auditing the operational areas Critical Control Points.
• To ensure health and safety, food safety, legality, integrity, quality, and environmental requirements are met.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the BRC Global Standard.
• Communicate any changes and updates of BRCGS Procedures to staff.
• Provide technical expertise during audits and customer visits.
• Help prepare for BRC and customer audits.

 

Requirements:

• Food Technology Degree / Qualification (Desirable not essential)
• Food Safety Level 2 or 3.
• HACCP qualification Level 2 or 3.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment or production environment.
• Experience conducting internal audits (GMP, Glass audit) within the food industry.
• Working knowledge of BRCGS.
• Desire to work within a close-knit supportive team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible attitude to working hours as and when required.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety at work.
