We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join a leading FMCG company, based in Co. Meath.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end operations of the facility.
Full-Time, Permanent Position.
Excellent Negotiable Salary.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate & cost-effective way.
- Plan Production, Stock and oversee efficiencies.
- Plan shift/ roster patterns in advance to ensure staff requirements are met as well as production deadlines.
- Lead the team in delivering production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates while also ensuring that customer specifications and requirements are met.
- Drive service level and profitability in all operations.
- Work closely and support the Commercial teams, Technical and quality, H&S, packaging, logistics, HR etc.
- Ensure hygiene levels are maintained at Audit ready standards.
- Liaise with Maintenance and co-ordinate preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repair with the production team.
- Analyze financial data and use it to improve profitability.
- Manage budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor KPIs to achieve profit, quality, yield, cost and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist HR with the recruitment process to build a strong and efficient team.
- Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for progression from within.
- Encourage training and development by promoting and creating opportunities and support environment for employees to succeed.
- Maintain excellent employee relations, understand the needs and concerns of all employees, resolve issues with the assistance of the HR department.
- Drive and nourish positive relationships with key external stakeholders including regulatory bodies and customers.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Spec and review equipment suitability including requirements for new equipment upgrades in all production areas.
- Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
Desired experience & Skills:
- Degree/ suitable qualification for the role and/ or minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Operations Manager/ Warehouse /FMCG Environment role.
- Knowledge of Industry from supply chain through to Retail.
- Product Knowledge including transport, storage, distribution, and legal requirements.
- Strong IT skills in particular with using ERP systems
- Experience budgeting and forecasting would be an advantage.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen with an eye for seeing business improvement opportunities.
- Familiarity with business and financial principles.
- Experience with Lean 6 Sigma principles.
- Strong skills in budget development and review.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organisational control of operations.
- Expertise in conflict management and resolution.
- Knowledge of business productivity software systems.
