Excellent opportunity for a QA Assistant to join a successful FMCG based in West Cork.

 

Full time, permanent opportunity.

Hours of work: 8am to 5pm, Monday - Friday

Negotiable salary depending on experience

 

Responsibilities:

• Implementation and Monitoring of Quality and Food Safety procedures on the factory floor in line with Quality and HACCP Systems in place.
• Updating procedures and other documentation.
• Implementation and monitoring of Food Safety Culture protocols.
• Managing non-conformance reports along with associated corrective and preventative actions.
• Training staff in hygiene, quality, culture, and HACCP in accordance with Food Hygiene legislation.
• Dealing with customer complaints and liaising with customers on a regular basis.
• Ensuring full traceability across the supply chain.
• Communication of Quality or Technical issues too site management.
• Research and development of possible opportunities for the improvement of Quality.
• Carrying out in house quality checks, internal audits along with the quality team and other departments.
• Assisting the Quality manager with customer, Accreditation, and regulatory audits.
• Carry out GMP Audits
• Writing and implementing product specifications. 

 

Requirements:

• Degree in a Food Science or related discipline.
• 1-2 Years’ experience preferred.
• Knowledge of BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and the Bord Bia FPS Standard.
