We have an excellent opportunity for a Vendor & Technical Technologist to join a state-of-the-art food research and manufacturing environment based in Kildare.

 

Full time, permanent role

Hours of work: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday

Pension & Healthcare benefits after probation

Negotiable salary depending on experience

 

The Vendor & Technical Technologist will maintain & manage the raw material, dry Ingredient and packaging Vendor Management system in line with EU Food Legislation, Customer & Retailer requirements, ensuring that they comply with both customer and legal requirements.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Supplier approval & maintenance of the Vendor Databases.
• Responsible for the generation & management of raw material specifications.
• Responsible for Management of the Retailer & Customer codes of practice and final product specifications.
• Responsible for hosting Supplier approval sections during Customer Audits.
• Responsible for dealing with customer technical queries and closing same out.
• Responsible for generating customer Specifications and directly liaising with customers. 
• Responsible for ensuring specification & labelling information is accurate and Complies with food labelling legislation.

 

Requirements:

• BSc Food Science & Technology.
• Proven track record in a similar role in a high-risk food environment.
• Lean problem solving training.
• BRC Level 8.
• HACCP level 5
• Good knowledge of EU Food Legislation.
• Excellent knowledge of BRC and previous experience with meat supplier approval systems.
• Vendor Management and Supplier Risk Assessment knowledge.
• Experience with large retailers Codes of practice & specification systems
