Our client, a leading Irish food producer, has an exciting opportunity for a  to join their team in Kildare.

 

Hours: 08:30-17:00

Option to work from home 1-2 days per week

Negotiable salary

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Source materials and services required by the business from approved suppliers.
• Source New Raw Materials for the NPD department.
• Build and/or maintain strong relationships with current suppliers and new suppliers as they are approved.
• Update the relevant areas of the Procurement Master file / pricing and automated purchasing system to ensure the most up to date data is readily available.
• Support Supply Chain to monitor and measure supplier lead-times, performance and take corrective action.
• Deliver vendor performance reporting
• Liaise with Supply Chain & Production Planning to facilitate accurate forecasting of requirements and secure suitable raw material volumes for production at all times.
• Work closely with Technical Department regarding specifications / Food safety policies.
• Propose Continuous Improvement initiatives relevant to Procurement.

 

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar position in the food industry.
• History of working in an FMCG environment an advantage.
• Third level education is desirable.
• Degree in business or similar relevant discipline.
• Sourcing / Supplier Management Experience.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Must have strong administration and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Excel and costing experience.
• The ability to analyse data is essential to this role.
