Production Supervisor - Day Shift

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our client, a leading food producer based in Meath.
The successful candidate will assist the Warehouse Manager to effectively and efficiently run the warehouse on a daily basis.
Job Details:
- Full-Time, Permanent Opportunity
- Weekly rotating shifts (6am to 3pm / 8am to 5pm), (Monday to Saturday, Saturday in rotation, 1 in 3)
- Salary: Negotiable, Depending on Experience
- Pension Contribution
- 20 days Annual Leave
Responsibilities:
- Supervising employees, dealing with shipping and delivery procedures and making sure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
- Managing multiple priorities on all production lines on a number of shifts.
- Support the warehouse Manager, however possible, in reaching the departmental goals, targets and KPI’s.
- Ensure that all products are of the highest standard of quality at all times and maintain customer and supplier specifications for all products.
- Work effectively with other departments such as Maintenance, QC and Buyers.
- Liaise with the quality team to ensure the quality and spec of all produce is achieved at all times.
- Monitor all training for staff, by liaising with HR.
- Monitor safety and procedures within the warehouse setting and take any necessary actions required.
- Drive continuous improvement and total employee engagement.
- Optimise efficiencies and reduce labour/overtime costs.
- Manage Line Leaders to ensure all jobs are live on the system and completed to the correct standard.
- Monitor and manager the EPR system in terms of jobs, allocations, BOMs etc.
- Ensure the rotation of stock is completed daily.
- Ensure Paperwork is completed every evening.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
- An excellent attitude to the job and role.
- Operate forklifts/pallet trucks in compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
- Highly motivated & energetic on a daily basis.
- Judgment and decision-making ability.
- Problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Flexible to the needs of the business as you may be asked to work multiple roles within the business.
- Ability to motivate teams and also work on own initiative.
- Always seeking new or improved ways to make your department highly efficient and implement.
