We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Buyer to join a successful grocery retailer in South Dublin. 

 

Full time, permanent role

Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitoring and assessing industry, competitor, and regulatory trends
• Constructing and managing device ranges based on the specific customer needs 
• Building trusted strategic relationships with supplier base 
• Designing and implementing a robust trade plan to ensure all financial KPIs are delivered 
• Planning and negotiating market leading promotions in conjunction with Marketing
• Working cross functionally to drive continual improvements
• Contributing to the development of new products and services for our customers

 

Requirements:

• Previous buying experience
• Key commercial management skills i.e. Range Management, Supplier Management, Strategic Planning, Financial Acumen, Margin Management 
• Analysing data and reporting 
• Strong communication skills 
• Strong PC skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite 
• Experience of working in the electrical goods sector (desirable)
• Professional qualification in Purchasing / Materials Management (desirable)
