Ambient Category Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Ambient Category Manager to join a leading FMCG Brand based in West Dublin.

 

As Category Manager you will be responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of our clients growing ambient portfolio.  

 

You will also be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to drive sustainable growth and increase sales and profitability.

 

Hybrid working

Negotiable on overall package, DOE

 

Responsibilities:

• Analyse data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends of the category.
• Develop a strategic long-term plan for the development of the ambient category.
• Become a leader in category ranging, pricing, and promotions across channels.
• Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
• Create forecasts for product demand to ensure sustainability of inventory.
• Manage budget development and revenue for the category.
• Develop strong working relationships with producers, customers, marketing, and merchandising teams.

 

Requirements:

• Previous experience in category management is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of category management, new product development, marketing, and sales principles.
• Ability to analyse and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data.
• An understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Good understanding of numeracy.

 

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field is beneficial.
• Completion of a qualification with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is an advantage.
