We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join an established and innovative food business based in South Dublin.

 

Hours of work: 8am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday

Negotiable salary depending on experience

Bonus & Pension Contributions

 

Reporting to the Head of Production,the Engineering Manager will ensure that the maintenance function operates to the highest possible standard and deliver the most effective use of plant, machinery and premises to best support production and business objectives with regard to product consistency, quality, taste and stability.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develops preventive maintenance with the appropriate level of machine parts in stock to maximise machine availability and to minimise downtime.
• Ensures that maintenance minimises disruption to production. 
• Ongoing maintenance of the site facility.
• Evaluate current maintenance and production processes and identify opportunities for improvements, through the development of more effective solutions.
• Liaise closely with Production, Product Development and Quality Control to ensure clear buy-in with the introduction of new plant and its commissioning.
• Lead and performance manage the maintenance team and ensure that each team member is fully aware of their responsibilities, performance and objectives.

 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 Years Senior Maintenance Experience: Either in Food or Pharmaceutical production, preferably with some experience of a large company environment.
• Strong Engineering Knowledge: Good problem solver, with an ability to guide the team to effectively resolve inevitable machinery problems and sufficient experience to keep up to date on new maintenance and process technologies.
• University Degree: Ideally in Engineering or to have the necessary experience.
• Highly motivated individual, with the capacity to take the initiative and be a self-starter.
• Strong leadership ability, with the capacity to motivate and manage others
• Drive and resilience, with a strong ability to operate effectively under pressure and deliver against
  challenging objectives.
