Graduate Engineer

The successful candidate will work with a group of Engineers. You will be responsible for assigned engineering projects and providing assistance with larger engineering projects within a team of engineers.

• The successful candidate will, with the assistance of Project Engineers and/or Engineering Projects Manager, design, specify and manage the installation of Operational projects as specified and required due to production, safety, or environmental requirements.
• Manage individual project elements to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
• Liaise with Plant/Depot/CED managers to agree on scope and timelines of projects.
• Prepare project status reports for review by Engineering Projects Manager.
• Provide project updates to Plant and Depot managers and key stakeholders.
• Manage contractors where required with a particular focus on health and safety.
• Continuously review safe systems of work and create, update, and implement relevant work instructions / procedures.

Requirements: 

• Primary degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial engineering is essential for this role.
• A minimum of 6 months full time work experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  AutoCAD experience (desirable).
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise duties.
• Strong numerical ability, good technical report writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, can-do attitude, and team player.
• Willingness to learn and be flexible.
• Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team.
• Full UK/EU driving licence.
