Our client, a leading and innovative food company, is seeking a Senior Production Manager to join their team in Westmeath.

You will manage the day to day running of the factory operations to deliver safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing processes to ensure production, hygiene and maintenance targets are delivered within budget.

 

Responsibilities:

• Identify continuous improvement projects in order to drive efficiencies & cost savings
• Direct and manage food manufacturing activities and personnel to ensure daily production targets are achieved to meet customer demand
• Continue to develop a LEAN & continuous improvement culture within the department
• Liaise with the supply chain manager to develop medium to longer term production forecasts
• Manage maintenance & engineering for the site including the budget
• Participate in risk assessments and document safe systems of work for hygiene, maintenance and production related tasks
• Manage the segregation, storage and timely removal of all waste
• Manage the provision of contracted external laundry services
• Manage the provision of hygiene chemicals and dosing equipment on site - to include regular reviews with chemical supplier, daily chemical dosing checks, maintenance of equipment and to oversee the safe storage, decant, transport and use of chemicals on site

 

Requirements:

• This is a Senior position which would suit someone who has previous experience as a Production Manager or a similar role in a chilled or frozen batch driven system
• The key to success will be to bring efficiencies, automation and cost saving to the floor
• Ambitious, able to work independently, attention to details & numbers driven
• At least 10 years in a similar position
