We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer to join a leading FMCG based in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful company and would suit someone with 6 months experience in a Quality Control Environment in the food industry.

 

• Full time, permanent role

The Quality Assurance Officer works as part of a team, reporting directly to the site Technical manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement microbiological, chemical, and physical testing schedules.
• Ensure raw material and finished product evaluation and verification is completed as required.
• Implement and maintain detailed specifications and quality standards.
• Manage queries or complaints from customers in a timely manner.
• Challenge processes food safety systems and maintain and review the plans as part of the HACCP team.
• Assist Technical Manager in implementing the internal audit program to ensure Quality System compliance.
• Report non-conformances and drive root cause analysis.
• Participate fully in external audits for food safety and quality audits for customers & governing bodies.

 

Requirements:

• Third level qualification in Food Science, Pharmaceutical, Nutritional Science, Food engineering.
• A general understanding of aseptic sampling techniques and working chemistry knowledge.
• At least 6 months experience working in a Quality Control Environment in the food industry
• Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
• Fluency in the spoken and written English language.
• Ability to communicate effectively with and present to Customers, suppliers & Senior Management.
