Quality Manager (12 mth contract)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Manager to join a leading,successful FMCG based in North Dublin on a contract for up to 12 months.
- Negotiable salary depending on experience
- Hours of work: 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for managing and implementing all aspects of the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
- Managing and developing the Quality Assurance team.
- Preparing for and hosting, audits, customer visits, supplier visits, and visits from regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring all processes are compliant with good manufacturing practice.
- Preparing and delivering GMP and other training.
- Managing and developing the HACCP system.
- Manage the hygiene contractor provider.
- Positively release raw materials based on the review of supplier certificates of analysis.
- Ensure raw material and finished product evaluation, verification and specifications is completed.
- Manage queries or complaints from customers in a timely manner.
- Responsible for document control and maintenance or improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Lead the internal audit program.
- Report non-conformances and drive root cause analysis.
- Liaise with external contractors relevant to the technical role e.g. Pest Control, Chemical Suppliers, Calibration etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role.
- Third level qualification in Food Science, Pharmaceutical, Nutritional Science, Food engineering.
- Good understanding of quality management systems based on the BRCGS for food safety.
- A general understanding of aseptic sampling techniques and working chemistry knowledge.
- Strong people manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of customer and process audits e.g Tesco, HACCP, BRC.
- Good information technology skills, MS Office.
