Maintenance Technician

Quorum Search Partners are recruiting a Maintenance Technican for our client based in Kildare. 

 

This is a full-time, permanent opportuinty on a rotating shift basis between days and evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide maintenance support and update equipment records and data into the CMMS system. 
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Perform electro-mechanical repairs on high-speed PLC-controlled plant, handle and package equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic components, and control systems.
• Complete PM routines.
• Work with equipment suppliers on new installations and modifications.
• Ensure that all parts are ordered by the end of each shift.
• Mentoring and coaching shift technicians.
• Ensure that apprentices receive appropriate training in their trade.
• Pass on relevant information to the maintenance. manager/supervisor and the next shift.
• Follow all up-to-date stores and parts procedures.

 

Requirements:

• Trade qualification as an electrician or fitter.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in a regulated. manufacturing environment after completing an apprenticeship.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or qualifications.
• Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance.
• Experience in fault-finding and problem-solving.
• Comprehensive knowledge of high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation and PLC control systems, and maintenance organization and systems.
• Good PC skills to input data into the CMMS system.
