We have an excellent opportunity for a Trade and Category Marketing Manager with a well established food manufacturer in Longford.
This role will involve leading and coordinating all trade marketing requirements for the company's business in Ireland and the UK.
The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of the FMCG environment and experience in dealing with key retailers.

Hybrid role, Minimum of 2 days in office and remainder at home.

Responsibilities:
Manage the various marketing activities including company brochure, POS signage, merchandise etc.
Work with NPD team on managing critical paths for product launches.
Forge collaborative relationships with key internal functions; commercial, category, customer service and finance.
Schedule frequent trade visits to ensure solid knowledge of each of the categories.
Develop and manage relationships with key external contacts: buyers, marketing managers, designers, printers.
Support the field sales team to deliver core range objectives through the development of a category management toolkit.
Monitor and report regularly on category performance and trends across markets and retailers, competitor
activity, consumer and customer needs – deliver actionable insights.
Understand the macro environment and drive action based on your insights.
Demonstrate commercial ability through post promotional analysis, and reporting on ROI of each activation.
Understand customer strategies and executional drivers and limitations, and lead the development of bespoke
activations in the UK and Ireland.
Draw up and implement effective marketing plans for the company's brands.
Define and manage the communication strategy for each brand, including product, packaging, promotions, path to purchase marketing, eMarketing.
Proactively manage the marketing budget – for both branded and unbranded activations.
Working with the commercial team, have a clear understanding of the key account objectives and support the
team to develop long term sustainable relations.
Requirements:
Graduate with degree/masters in a business, marketing or a related discipline.
A detailed understanding of the FMCG environment and experience of dealing with key retailers on commercial,
category marketing and marketing projects.
A proven track record in delivering best in class, innovative first to market brand initiatives, and category
solutions.
A demonstrated ability to lead / support cross functional teams to deliver brand activations.
Good communicator, a clear thinker and someone who enjoys operating in an entrepreneurial fast paced
environment.
Independently minded and confident to influence at senior management levels.
A self-starter who likes to challenge themselves and those around them
