Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor to join a leading food company based in Kildare. This is an entry level role and would suit a recent graduate with placement experience or someone with 1-2 years of experience in the food industry.

 

• Working hours: Monday – Friday 5:30am – 2:30pm
• Full time, permanent role based onsite
• 22 days annual leave per annum
• Negotiable salary depending on experience
• Paid maternity/paternity leave.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that product and food safety specifications are met by verifying the production and system checks and documentation.
• Carry out quality checks in line with the FSQMS.
• Conduct traceability exercises as required.
• Instigate non-conformance reports and drive investigation and corrective action .
• Routine and project-based validation of production and pre-requisite processes.
• Hygiene inspection audits and environmental monitoring.
• GMP audits as per audit schedule.
• Conduct environmental swabbing as required.
• Collection and logging of product samples for testing.
• Produce other reports as required e.g. risk assessments, analyses, investigations, KPIs, trending etc.
• Assisting with customer, regulatory and supplier visits and audits.

 

Requirements:

• Educated to Degree or Higher Level in a Scientific Food Discipline.
• 1-2 years hands-on experience in driving compliance, quality and food safety, and day-to-day technical trouble-shooting in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience in operating and continuously improving quality systems.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of food safety & quality standards e.g. BRC, Regulatory and Retailer Standards.
• Experience in working with customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies and audits is desirable.
