NPD Manager - Urgent

This is a very exciting opportunity to lead the NPD  team of an award-winning added-value food company based in south Dublin. Our client is renowned for their highly successful product ranges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the New Product Development Department.
• Project manage the critical path for new product launches ensuring on-time and cost-effective first production runs.
• Technical liaisons with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
• Procurement of technically acceptable sample materials.
• Planning, execution, and change management from line trials.
• Planning, execution, and implementation of product and process re-engineering.
• Identify and implement cost savings on materials, packaging & labour to agreed targets.
• New product idea generation through market reviews.
• New product costings.
• Assess market trends and competitor activity.

Experience:

• At least 3 years experience in NPD/R&D/ Technical management in a food manufacturing company.
• Working knowledge of project management processes.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, BRC.
• Working knowledge of completion of food technical specifications both customer-specific on-line formats and generic.
• Third-level Food Science or Food Technology qualification.
