Enterprise Application Analyst

Our client, a leading facility provider, is looking for an Enterprise Application Analyst to join their team based in Dublin.

The Enterprise Application Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring that their business applications are reliable, and that incidents and requests are dealt with in a timely manner as well as contributing towards the Enterprise Applications Strategy and Architecture.

 

This includes providing technical assistance to users, identifying and resolving software issues, writing and updating documentation and ensuring that applications are running smoothly and efficiently. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical problems with software applications.
  • Ensuring that applications are running smoothly and efficiently, and identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Manage and own incidents and work with IT colleagues and third parties to resolve incidents.
  • Maintaining documentation such as knowledge base articles and technical manuals.
  • Monitor and analyse application performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements that will benefit the business.
  • Conducting tests and quality assurance checks on software applications to ensure that they meet performance and usability standards.
  • Ensuring that applications are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and taking appropriate action to address any security vulnerabilities.
  • Keep up to date with industry and technical developments and trends and translate these into opportunities for practical application to support the organisations business needs.
  • Conduct trials and pilots using new and existing solutions.
  • Work closely with the Innovation & Change Team to propose innovations and assist conducting pilots and assess feasibility of new solutions.

 

Requirements:

  • A 3rd level primary business or technical degree or higher is preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience delivering and supporting software solutions with a diverse range of technologies.
  • The ability to analyze and solve complex technical issues, often under pressure and within tight time constraints. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of software development lifecycles and methodologies including Agile.
