A fantastic opportunity for a Technical Assistant has arisen with our client, a well established food business based in Meath.

 

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in assisting with the development and implementation of quality systems for the site.

 

This is a 12 month maternity contract.

 

Full-Time, Contract position.

Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm.

Salary is Negotiable, Depending on Experience.

 

Please note due to location of the business, candidates will require their own transport.

 

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure compliance with procedures are maintained to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the documented Food Safety & Quality Management Systems.
• Liaise with all relevant site management with regards to customer requirements and product quality issues.
• Ensure all testing schedules are being adhered to and records are up to date.
• Assist the technical team in ensuring that all activities produce safe and legal products.
• Ensure all quality standards are being adhered to and the site is audit ready at all times. 
• Ensuring calibration of all measuring equipment on site has been carried out.
• Carrying out any paper based work when required.
• Assisting the Technical Manager with any requirements.

 

Requirements: 

• Degree in Food Science or similar is desired but not essential.
• Own transport is essential.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the food industry.
• Experience in Food Safety audits.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
