Quality Manager

Our client, a leading FMCG is looking for a Quality Manager to oversee their Galway site.

• Full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday
• Negotiable salary depending on experience 

Responsibilities:

• Manage & implement the food safety quality management system in the plant
• Review the quality management system and recommend and implement improvements
• Ensure the quality team is managed with clear accountabilities and mentoring where needed
• Manage customer interface for all quality matters
• Support company NPD/ NPI programme
• Lead and co-ordinate site HACCP/ TACCP team
• Ensure all required departmental audits are carried out with effective corrective actions implemented 
• Ensure sites production records are validated on a timely basis
• Completing complaint investigations, identifying root cause, implementing effective corrective actions and closeouts
• Representative for site during customer, regulatory and accreditation audits
• Ensure there is an effective pest control programme in place with up to date trends
• Conducting site risk assessments as guided
• Reviewing and trending site microbiological results, identifying adverse results and co-ordinating effective corrective actions and validations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of management experience
• Experience working in a similar role in the food industry
• Excellent communication skills
