Senior Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant has arisen with our client, a well established Irish FMCG business based in Meath.

In this position you will operate within the financial, manufacturing and other business teams within the company, ensuring internal controls, procedures and systems are in place throughout the business.

Full-Time, Permanent Position.

Salary is Negotiable, Depending on Experience.

Monday- Friday

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Management of monthly accounts and and reporting.
• Audit and compliance of related matters.
• Preparation of monthly reconciliations, investigating, and resolving account discrepancies.
• Preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 102 reporting requirements, along with liaising with external auditors.
• Accounting of fixed assets, maintenance of fixed asset registers and tracking of approved capital expenditure.
• Management of monthly payroll processes and corporation tax compliance matters.
• VAT, VIES and Intrastat compliance in respect to the Irish, UK and European registrations.
• Ad hoc reporting in respect to Enterprise Ireland and CSO.
• Supporting Central Finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects.

Requirements: 

• Qualified Accountant with 3 years experience.
• Attention to detail is critical together with managing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong IT and Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence non-finance people.
• Strong numerical and technical analysis skills.
• The ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
